Local Wildlife

These photographs were taken within the centre. Visitors are amazed at the variety of wildlife on the site, nurtured within our "Nature Corner". We provide habitat and food, essential to the success of these species. An example of what can be achieved in a small area. Also, it is essential to carry out pest control to protect these species. It is a controversial subject, discriminating between species to decide which ones should benefit, and which ones should be controlled. In the main, it is the choice between native and non-native species, then numbers. High numbers of certain native species such as Magpies have a devastating effect on populations of small garden and song birds.
